Rebecca is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and diplomate of oriental medicine as certified by the NCCAOM. She obtained a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) after 4 years of graduate study at Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, CA. Rebecca also holds a Bachelor of Science from Alma College, in Alma, MI, where she studied biology. Prior to her graduate studies, Rebecca lived at the Mount Madonna Center in the mountains of Santa Cruz, CA for a year and a half where she trained as a yoga instructor and an ayurvedic diet and lifestyle counselor.
Before moving to South Carolina, Rebecca had a private practice in California and also worked in an integrative pain management medical center and a community acupuncture clinic. Working in these different clinical settings allowed her to become proficient in treating many common conditions such as chronic pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, headaches, digestive problems, women’s health issues, high blood pressure, diabetes, and fatigue. When her mother was diagnosed with Hodgkins’s lymphoma, she developed a strong desire to work with cancer patients that need help managing the side effects of cancer treatment and enhancing the function of their immune system.
In addition to her TCM training, Rebecca continues to study the Balance Method created by Dr. Richard Tan and Master Tung Acupuncture, both of which are well-known for rapid pain relief. She also practices the gentle Japanese style of acupuncture taught by Kiiko Matsumoto.
Rebecca is dedicated to empowering patients through holistic medicine and helping them take responsibility for their health by giving them the tools for deep healing and balanced living. When she is not working or studying, Rebecca spends most of her time outdoors hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and biking with her husband.

Another appointment will not be booked until the no show fee is paid in full. An email and/or text message will be sent to you when your appointment is made.
